About

Lisa Marie Scott was born on September 23, 1972.  The first thing she wanted to be when she grew up was a singer.  But, having her first child at the age of 19 and a serious case of stage fright kept that particular dream from coming true.  She always tinkered with writing, from the very first short story she wrote when she was ten to the essays she had to write in highschool, often just b-sing her way through them.  However, lack of confidence had her leaving many a story unfinished.

Then, she met a vampire named Spike.  And a writer was born.

Fanfiction became a way for Lisa to express herself and to try out ideas and learn how to write.  She's won several writer awards, each of her individual stories has one at least one award and her biggest story, Speedway, was the first AU fiction written in the world of Buffy the Vampire slayer.  She tested the boundaries and busted them by turning everyone human AND, adding NASCAR to the mix.

Lisa also did something that was unheard of in the land of fan fiction. Creating original characters and not just using them as filler for the stories, but main characters that interacted with the Buffy characters and held their own.  Mark, a fan favorite, made his way into her orignal fiction and was a main character in her novel Touch of Evil, available through Liquid Silver Books.

Lisa Marie lives in Maryland with her husband, two children, mother, two cats and dog.  She works as an assistant produce manager at a local grocery store and spends her free time writing, watching CSI, reading and spending time with her family.
